I had the pleasure of traveling to British Columbia in late July to help my partner in crime Andy Winkler run his latest incarnation of his Artist Sanctuary: The Pemberton Music Festival Artist Sanctuary. Not only did I get to spent 6 days in beautiful Whistler, BC but after we closed the Sanctuary for the day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday we’d head up Highway 99 to the Pemberton Music Festival to take in some of the headliners.
Here are a few of my highlights:
- Running around Whistler and up Blackcomb Mountain (What an amazing place!)
- A driving range across the street from our hotel
- Having an Escalade and Tahoe on hand to provide pick up and drop off service for Artist Sanctuary guests
- Riding a helicopter to Pemberton (Who does that?)
- Watching Jay Z and Coldplay back to back
- Ziplining for the first time
- Getting 36 cases of Red Bull delivered to the hotel
- The amazing staff of The Adara Hotel: Whistler
- Hanging out in Vancouver for a couple of days and finally getting the chance to go to Tojo’s.

Theartistsanctuary.com is a little website we built for our good friend and partner in crime Andy Winkler. The newly updates site documents all the happenings The Artist Sanctuary @ Adara Hotel held in conjunction with the 2008 Pemberton Music Festival.
The Artist Sanctuary is a relaxing lounge open exclusively to VIPs while attending some of Canada’s premiere entertainment events.
Keep a look out for the next Artist Sanctuary at The Juno Awards in Vancouver next March.
